Daikin UK has introduced its latest addition to its VRV range – the Mini VRV IV S-series, available to order at local branches; the unit stands at less than one metre tall, and at 823 cm the shortest on the market. Ideal for urban areas and small spaces, the new unit is the most compact and efficient available.  Suitable for residential and commercial applications, the discreet unit can be placed behind low walls or concealed on balconies, successfully integrating with its surroundings.

Building on the industry leading VRV IV technology, the Mini VRV S-series is compact and powerful, providing energy efficient comfort all year round typically reducing operation costs by up to 28 per cent when compared with the previous VRV series.

Offering a wide range of choice for installers the new VRV IV S-series is perfect for all building types. Available in single-phase 4 and 5 HP units, the standard ranges of 4-5-6 HP units (available in either single or three phase) have also been updated from VRV III to VRV IV models. Additionally, for larger areas a new range of 8-10-12 three-phase VRV IV S-series units has been added.

Due to its lightweight compact design, the unit ensures an easy onsite installation for engineers. The new unit can also be positioned away from the building, due to long piping lengths and the low profile of the unit allowing it to be fitted into tighter spaces than previously considered for an outdoor unit.

“The new VRV IV S-series is perfect for built up urban areas,” adds Martin Passingham, Product Manager, DX at Daikin UK.

“By having a significantly smaller footprint , lower profile and producing little noise, the new unit helps ensurecompliance with building regulations.

Extending the ability of the system, the VRV IV technology can be connected to air handling units, air curtains and residential indoor units to provide a complete climate control solution.”
