Natratex resin bonded surface from Bituchem has been specified by Gloucester City Council to provide a durable and attractive road surface for a new housing development in Gloucestershire.

Surfacing contractors Rockstone Surfacing Ltd laid 1,500m² of buff Natratex to roads leading up to houses off Holbeach Drive in Quedgeley, as part of one of the largest housing developments in the area.

Commenting on the project, Stefan Dziubinski, CEO of Rockstone Surfacing Ltd said, “Architects, designers and developers are increasingly demanding bespoke alternatives to expansive areas of traditional black tarmacadam. We recommend Natratex, a sturdy and durable product, boasting a smooth, aesthetically rustic finish.”

The specially formulated clear binder used in Natratex forms a fully bonded natural aggregate wearing course that is long lasting and low maintenance with a selection of natural aggregates available. Natratex is a hot applied process with a similar manufacture and application method to that of traditional macadams.  Unlike other landscaping solutions, Natratex can be applied in nearly all weather conditions and offers quick installation time.

Natratex is an environmentally sympathetic and durable surface solution that can be specified to satisfy individual design requirements for roads, footpaths, driveways, playgrounds and car parks.
