Bradford City Park, Yorkshire

2 Jan 2015
News

Designed with water at its heart, this public space is a centrepiece in Bradford’s regeneration and helps refresh the city identity. The space contains the largest city centre water feature in the UK, a 4,000m² mirror pool, and the UK’s tallest urban fountain that reaches 30m.

With a changing display of water and light through the day and night, City Park’s reflective mirror pool is a multifunctional space. It can be drained to provide a large events venue, and many other combinations. The adaptability brings sustainability and safety benefits.

The fountains and integrated LED uplights present stunning sequences that interact with the park’s visitors. The lasers, fountains and lights respond to the presence of people, delivering a unique experience for each visitor.

Created to help attract inward investment, this high quality public realm aims to act as a catalyst for regeneration of Bradford’s local economy.
