Arnold Laver’s Mosborough site has reached a unique landmark by enjoying £2million-worth of sales in just one month.

The figure is the highest amount invoiced by the company, which has grown to become one of the country’s leading timber merchants since it was established in Sheffield more than 80 years ago.

Arnold Laver’s Timber World department at Mosborough achieved £1.9million in sales, while the Call Collect centre gained more than £300,000.

Peter Howarth, sales director at Arnold Laver Timber World Mosborough, said: “This is terrific news and a great achievement from all the staff throughout the site.

“Arnold Laver has gone from strength to strength and continues to provide top quality materials and service to thousands of people, both in the trade and to the public, across the country.”

Mosborough is Arnold Laver Timber World’s National Production Centre for the entire group and one of the largest environmentally friendly buildings in Sheffield, achieving the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

The site also incorporates an engineering production facility, a machined profile production centre, a sheet material processing unit and a treatment plant.

Peter added: “The centre in Mosborough was opened in 2004 and has been hugely successful. We now do more than 700 deliveries per week from the site to all over the UK.”
