Ardex resin flooring system is a ‘flying’ success!

The ARDEX resin flooring range has established itself as a leader in the market by delivering high performance results throughout a wide range of demanding locations. Recently working in conjunction with industrial flooring contractors, GSS (Southern) Ltd of Romsey, Southampton, ARDEX R 70 P Medium Duty Polyurethane Screed was specified as the ideal flooring solution for a refurbishment project on behalf of Vector Aerospace Engine Services UK Limited.

With a proud aviation heritage, Vector Aerospace is an industry-leading, independent provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft operators around the globe and its portfolio includes support for turbine engines, dynamic components, structures and avionics.

ARDEX is the resin flooring system of choice for many flooring contractors, specifiers and clients, as it has been innovatively researched and developed to provide a totally integrated system solution, which combines product compatibility with advanced performance, specifically designed for use within a wide spectrum of industrial environments.

For this 1600m2 project, it was essential that the specified resin floor system would provide a hard- wearing surface that offers high chemical resistance. ARDEX R 70 P Medium Duty Polyurethane Screed has been developed to ensure that it offers superb strength and ease of maintenance, whilst withstanding the most demanding hygiene routines. Produced as four components in pre-measured packs, easy on site mixing and application are added benefits, and when cured ARDEX R 70 P forms a tough, easily cleaned pigmented layer from 2mm up to 5mm thick.

Barry Nicholson of GSS (Southern) Ltd explained, “ARDEX resin flooring systems are renowned for delivering a fast track installation with outstanding performance. These features were key to this particular project, and we knew that ARDEX R 70 P Medium Polyurethane Screed would step up to the challenge with ease”.
