Ardex help Artyface complete another stunning mural.

Community art organisation Artyface has recently completed another creative and inspirational mural, with high performance tiling products and accompanied technical support once again provided by ARDEX.

Since its launch in 1999, Artyface is much in demand, working with schools, councils, businesses and the community to make ceramic murals with local school pupils for public spaces or playgrounds.

One of their recent projects was at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Primary School, in Chelsea, London. Artyface worked with the pupils, parents, staff and the local community to complete the mural, which had a theme of endangered animals and wildlife, and when finished portrayed an abundance of colour and energy.

ARDEX X 77 MICROTEC® Flexible Wall & Floor Adhesive was used to install the mosaic tiles. Offering outstanding performance for all manner of tiling applications, ARDEX X 77 MICROTEC® has been developed to achieve double the slump resistance of ‘T’ classified adhesives, as well as achieving an open time of 60 minutes, up to double the open time of ‘E’ classified adhesives. In addition, ARDEX X 77 MICROTEC® has a very high yield and is suitable for use on both internal and external applications.

ARDEX-FLEX FL Rapid Setting Flexible Tile Grout in Ocean Grey was used to grout the tiles. Ideal for use with wide tile joints from 3-15mm, ARDEX-FLEX FL is available in 32 stunning colours and provides superb performance with all types of tiles including porcelain, mosaic, ceramic, most natural stone and quarry tiles, as well as extruded tiles and glass blockwork.

Maud Milton of Artyface commented, “We are delighted that our portfolio of projects continues to expand, and are delighted to bring art into the community via our murals. It is also fair to say though that our association with ARDEX has enhanced our service, as having them by our side ensures perfect tile fixing solutions for every mural”.
