Alumasc announces changes to Rainwater Price List for 2013

Alumasc Rainwater have launched their new product price guide, which now incorporates their well-respected Aluminium and Cast Iron ranges along with LCC traditional cast iron soil and waste drainage and its new Rolled Steel rainwater system. The revisions coincide with some major changes in Alumasc Rainwater’s core processes which are intended to benefit Merchants and Contractors across the industry.

Ben Green, Marketing Manager of Alumasc Rainwater & Drainage was keen to make the new combined rainwater price guide an essential tool for Merchants and Contractors alike. The new product selector gives users a clear overview of the rainwater ranges, the new standard colour options and the features and benefits of each range.

With many projects being at the mercy of the British weather, speed of installation is an increasing issue for contractors. Now priced at only 20% more than the primed equivalent, Apex Heritage pre-painted removes the need for post-installation paintwork, offers impressive savings of up to 60% on installation time and 30% in materials - it’s a little extra that saves a lot on site.

The pre-painted range boasts a highly durable 4-coat factory-finish, which can last up to 7 years before re-painting is required. 8 standard heritage colours are available which now also carry Alumasc’s Certified Paint Mark, to qualify the 4-coat factory system and giving peace of mind that the product is fully protected against the elements.

Paul Hetherington, Managing Director of Alumasc Rainwater and Drainage, is keen for the new pre-painted cast iron pricing structure to be delivered clearly to the industry, in order that contractors can maximise on the savings available to them. “The massive savings in labour and materials that result from the use of the pre-painted cast iron, mean that in addition to the physical savings, more installations can be done within a year, resulting in a potential increase in profits.  “Ultimately, when viewed as part of the entire project cost, the 20% premium should be regarded as a long-term saving, not as a short-term cost.”

The new price list also features Alumasc’s full Aluminium Rainwater Systems range, which is available in plain mill finish or in the raincote range of BBA Approved factory applied polyester powder coatings. The standard aluminium RAL colour range has been extended this year, from 16 to 26, with the popular Silver Metallic now available as standard.

Brand new for 2013 is Alumasc’s new range of lightweight Rolled Steel rainwater systems. Ideal for traditional and modern buildings in new build and refurbishment applications, steel is a competitive alternative to uPVC systems, with increased flow rates and longevity. Available in either a galvanised or black coated finish as standard, with other galvanised coated colours available to order.

Paul Hetherington continues, “2012 saw a number of significant changes within Alumasc Rainwater’s product and service provision, the likes of which had never been seen within the Rainwater industry before. Investment in our extended colour palettes, pre-painted certification and the new steel product range will continue to drive Alumasc Rainwater forward into 2013, as we continue to work closely with our Merchant and Contractor partners to ensure that what Alumasc offers, is perfectly suited to what the industry needs.”
