18th century building, Suffolk

Iron technology leader Saint-Gobain PAM UK, part of leading international materials company, Saint-Gobain, has been chosen to supply a major listed building with its range of Classical rainwater and gutter systems.

Ubbeston Hall is a grade 2 listed early 18th century building, located in Suffolk. It recently underwent a major renovation which involved replacing the existing cast iron rainwater systems after a lifetime of service with new 150mmx100mm moulded cast iron gutters with 125mmx100mm rectangular cast iron downpipes supplied in the Classical Plus high quality pre-painted finish.

Cast iron was specified for both its long-term performance characteristics and also its unique aesthetic qualities which make it first choice for external rainwater systems on prestige and listed buildings. Supplied ready to install, in a quality semi-gloss, black polymer powder alloy (Plascoat PPA 571 ES) finish, the Classical Plus range offers excellent performance, and minimal maintenance.

The main contractor for the development was Property Aid with the Classical Plus products supplied by Jewson in Leiston.
