CEDIA are presenting two courses on Tuesday 3 March, 2009 at The Building Centre, Store Street, London specifically targeted at architects, specifiers and interior designers.
CEDIA, the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association, is an international trade association bringing together professionals who are designers, installers, manufacturers and distributors of smart home technology and other industry affiliates throughout the world.
Member companies specialise in planning and installing electronic systems for the home - typically media rooms, single or multi-room entertainment systems, home automation and communication systems, as well as integrated whole-house subsystems providing control of lighting, security, AV and HVAC systems.
Course Title: Designing Integrated Future-Ready Homes
This CEDIA CPD course has been accredited by RIBA since 2006. It is a generic course and has been designed to educate design professionals about the benefits and process involved in residential custom installation and the advantages of using a CEDIA member.
Course Title: Technology and Consumer Trends in Residential Custom Integration
This session highlights future technologies and perceptions that are set to mould the CI industry in the coming years. Looking at technologies as diverse as multi-touch user interfaces to increase public perception about the need to change habits to slow global warming; we will unearth some important, profound and sometimes surprising trends.
