On 10 October, The Building Centre is hosting its first "unconference", looking at how the latest ICT tools and technologies can be used to help create a better, more sustainable built environment. From planning and design, through construction, to facilities management and beyond, the Be2camp event will discuss how we can combine and use mainstream tools and new 'Web 2.0' applications to improve creativity, information sharing and, most notably, collaboration.
Learn more about blogs, RSS feeds and iGoogle, online communities, Software-as-a-Service, extranets, wikis, mapping tools, building information modelling (BIM), 'Cloud Computing' and virtual worlds, to name but a few.
This collaborative event is shaped by its participants, both in the run-up to the event and on the day itself, and will therefore be a unique opportunity for construction professionals and technology enthusiasts to learn from each other. If you are serious about reducing your carbon footprint and think ICT can help, Be2camp is the place to be.
