Ugly Brutes or Cherished Heritage?

Preston Bus Garage by Michael MacKenzie

Are we protecting enough post-war architecture?

Docomomo and the C20 Society invite you to a debate hosted by the Building Centre.

Following controversial decisions not to list Robin Hood Gardens, Preston Bus Garage and Birmingham City Library, are we in danger of losing a whole chapter of our architectural history? Do we now have a more enlightened government who can set a better record on conservation?

Speakers include:
Piers Gough (CZWG)
James Dunnett (Docomomo)
Catherine Croft (C20 Society)
John Allan (Avanti Architects)
Richard Coleman
Roger Bowdler (English Heritage)

Chaired by Peter Murray (Chairman, New London Architecture)
