Robert Watson, Chief Engineer of Tevva Motors
The modern delivery vehicle faces a number of challenges in and around cities such as London: low emissions, economic range and quietness are needed to meet environmental requirements. The electric vehicle is seen as the future of city transport, but issues around range and battery storage still persist.
The UK company Tevva have developed a hybrid system for both new and retrofit vehicles to reduce emissions and maximise the range of the vehicle. It’s technology matches location, journey time and distance to make sure that the best power option is chosen throughout the route. The company will present the development and application of the smart technology which provides a step forward in one of the major challenges in city transport.
