With Crossrail set to become the largest transport infrastructure project in Europe, David will cover how they plan to deliver the scheme, which will include 10 miles of tunnelling, 37 stations, 200-metre-long trains travelling at 100 mph and capable of accommodating 78,000 passengers per hour and 200 million passenger journeys per year.
His talk will cover delivery strategy, tunnelling strategy and station design, with a particular emphasis on the engineering challenges that the project presents.
