No. 1 Lower Carbon Drive - produced by The Building Centre for the Mayor of London - will be one of the main features at Grand Designs Live. The mock-up of a full-size traditional terraced house is designed to showcase the measures which can be taken by owners of older properties to reduce their carbon footprint.

Visitors to the exhibition can see a variety of technologies, meet the experts and sign up to the Green Concierge Service which will guide them through the implementation of the recommended measures.

In addition, every day from the 5th of May there will be free talks by a variety of experts on ways of 'greening' your home including:
