NBS: The Building Regs Explained - Part L

The Building Regulations Approved Documents L: 'Conservation of fuel and power' have been amended and come into force in October 2010. At that time, new domestic and non-domestic buildings will have to improve significantly their energy efficiency standards. Existing buildings will also have to reduce their carbon footprint.

This half-day training seminar will provide an opportunity to understand the differences between the new regulations and current practices, a rare opportunity to question the experts. It will describe what you need to do now to comply, and clarify what you don't need to do.

This seminar will focus on the reasons behind the changes; the detail; the methods and the obligations.

Speakers Include:
Paul DeCort, Technical Policy Officer, Sustainable Buildings Division, Department for Communities and Local Government
Ant Wilson, Director, AECOM
Paul Davidson, Director, Sustainable Energy, BRE
Geoff Wilkinson, Vice Chairman of the Building Control & Standards Faculty of the CIOB, Building Regs Columnist, Architects' Journal
