NBS: The Building Regs Explained - Part F and Part J

The Building Regulations Approved Document F: Ventilation and Part J: Combustion appliances and fuel storage systems have been amended and come into force in October 2010.

Approved Document J requires energy reduction at source, carbon monoxide alarms and more detail on biomass boilers. Part F stipulates the importance of ventilating increasingly airtight buildings.

This half-day training seminar will look at the essential requirement for combustion appliances to be provided with adequate and safe ventilation. It offers the chance to understand the differences between the new regulations and current practices, explore alternative heating fuels, and provide a rare opportunity to put questions to the experts.

Speakers Include:
David Ross, Associate Director, AECOM
Mark Crowther, author of Guide to Part J and General Manager GASTEC at CR
Geoff Wilkinson, Vice Chairman, Building Control & Standards Faculty of the CIOB, Building Regs Columnist, Architects' Journal
