Mouland Belhoul, Lafarge Ductal

The Footbridge of Peace links Seoul with nearby Seonyudo Island. The bridge is a taut arch across a 130m span which has a constant depth of 1.3m, one-third that of any other recent similar structure. Ductal, developed by Lafarge, was essential to the realisation of the design.

This cementitious matrix is reinforced with steel fibres, synthetic fibres or a combination of the two - conventional reinforcement is not required.
