How do we build on the Green Belt?

Breakfast Seminar
Thu 14 Apr 2016

This is an essential event for architects, landscape architects, planners, developers, ecologists, house-builders and local councils working on sensitive sites. What can we learn from the challenging projects that have achieved planning approval and local support? What can be built under current guidance? How might Green Belt policy change in the near future?

Our expert panel will share first-hand experiences of working on innovative projects, debate the practical alternatives to building on protected land, and ask if building on the Green Belt can be advantageous to biodiversity.

Speakers include:

- James Lord, partner at HTA Design

- Andy Meader, director of Pegasus Group

- Merrick Denton-Thompson, president elect of the Landscape Institute

- Chair: Ben Webster, environment editor for The Times

This event is free to attend but booking is essential.

Breakfast will be from 8.30am and the talk will begin at 9.00am and finish at 10:15am.
