Good lighting is a crucial factor in designing environments that promote wellbeing and aid productivity in the workplace. We evolved to react, psychologically and physiologically, to the environment around us, which for millions of years was dictated by natural light cycles. The design community has an intrinsic part to play in ensuring we are helping to create modern environments that impact people in a positive way.

We bring industry experts together to discuss the effects light and other environmental influences can have on people’s behaviour and comfort, and how the design community can implement solutions that encourage wellbeing, particularly in work spaces.

Speakers include:

- Victoria Lockhart, International WELL Building Institute

- Dr Nejra van Zalk, Dyson School of Design

- Rohit Manudhane, Arup

Chair: Vanessa Norwood, the Building Centre

The evening presentations will begin at 6.30pm, followed by a chaired panel discussion and audience Q&A. The event will conclude at 7.45pm with a networking drinks reception and opportunity to visit Dyson’s Healthy Desk exhibition.
