Measuring the embodied carbon in buildings has become an increasingly debated topic over the last couple of years. Currently overlooked by building regulations and targets for Zero Carbon, growing numbers of people across the sector are concerned that we are missing a vital part of the carbon equation.

In response to a huge amount of interest from UK-GBC members, we are holding an event to explore case studies from the olympics and a number of major clients and developers, to take a look at some of the approaches and tools that are being developed to account for embodied carbon in construction.

Speakers include:
• Paul King, Chief Executive, UK-GBC
• Jane Durney, Commission for a Sustainable London 2012
• Peter Mayer, BLP Insurance and Alice Moncaster, University of Cambridge
• Simon Sturgis, Sturgis Associates
• Guy Battle, Deloitte (Dcarbon8)
• Simon Cox, ProLogis
• Sarah Cary, British Land

There will be plenty of time for Q&A and discussion with the audience and the panel. This is a free to attend event however you will need to book your place.
