Building Performance is a new series of evening events where a project team presents their approach to achieving a successful building for the client and occupants. Each event presents a close examination of a completed project, focusing on a wide range of performance criteria - from urban and social aspirations, to ideas of design and cost efficiencies, energy, comfort and well being - to provide insight into the collaboration of design team members.

The second event in the series will feature The Royal Alexandra Children´s Hospital, Brighton, nicknamed the “Children´s Ark”due to its nautical appearance and seaside setting. The award-winning design by BDP was based on the creation of a sustainable community built around user needs, which extends to all aspects of the 15,000sqm hospital.

Presentations will be given by members of the design team including Ray Cano Perez, Architectural Director and Oliver Plunkett, Engineering Director of BDP, followed by a chaired discussion. This event is free of charge.

CPD Certificates will be provided.
