The Building Centre Vincent Gallery will host the 2008 Civic Trust Awards exhibition from 27 May. The Civic Trust was established over 50 years ago to prevent poor development in the drive for post-second world war modernisation. Its aim then, as it is today, is to raise awareness of the impact that buildings and public spaces have on our lives. The Civic Trust Awards recognise the best in the built environment, from architecture to planning, townscape to housing. This year’s winners include private houses and performing arts venues, museums, colleges and hospitals.
