Sunflex sliding doors bring the Devon countryside indoors

Sunflex trade partner Devonshire Windows have recently completed work on a beautiful riverside home that required sliding doors which could open on both sides from a central point - to maximise the views from the property.

This leaves a completely open corner, a must for a property that can boast a view of this quality.

The client specified low iron glass so they could make the most of the solar gain to reduce heating costs when the sun is low in the winter. And we recommended the Sunflex triple track slider (SVG), corner opening, with complementary aluminium shaped frames (SEF) from the gable above.

To enhance the design aspect, we also encapsulated the structural steel sections with purpose aluminium cladding, ordered from Sunflex UK at the same time to ensure a colour match.

The SVG Plus is a weathertight multitrack sliding system allowing 100% clear opening with an extended track, maximising both light and views from the room. As sliding door panels overlap slimmer sightlines are achieved ensuring the doors look good open or closed. Sliding doors are becoming a more popular choice with their large panel widths, especially when there is a good view beyond.

Working closely with our clients, we delivered exactly what they required to the standard and budget they expected.

Mr and Mrs Roberts were thrilled with the outcome saying: “We were attracted by the quality of the Sunflex range and the idea that we could open both sides of the folding doors from one central point.

"We are absolutely delighted with the end result and happy we went the extra mile and purchased such a quality product.”
