Portman Square, Reading

Project: Portman Square, Reading

A David Wilson Homes development, Portman Square is situated within the city centre and is made up of two, three and four bedroom homes and two bedroom apartments, offering convenient city centre living.

As part of the project, David Wilson Homes was looking for a cost effective pipework solution for distributing hot and cold water services throughout the apartments within the development. Looking for a reliable, high-performing solution, contractors, Turnpike Plumbing turned to Durapipe HTA for the pipework requirements.

Durapipe HTA, specified in sizes up to 63mm, was installed to transport hot and cold water from the main water storage tank to each of the 250 apartments within Portman Square. Looking for a high performing system that requires minimal maintenance, Durapipe HTA was the ideal solution. Its excellent corrosion and limescale resistant properties increase the lifespan of the pipework and avoid costly maintenance and replacement work.

Quick and straightforward to install, the lightweight nature of Durapipe HTA makes it easy to handle on site and, combined with the easy solvent welding jointing technique, which eliminates the need for any hot works, offers significant time and cost savings during the installation stage.

Peter Clarke, from Turnpike Plumbing commented: “This was our first time working with Durapipe UK products and we were incredibly impressed by Durapipe HTA as it provided an easy installation process and offered a low cost pipework system”.

Available in sizes 20mm to 160mm, Durapipe HTA is a complete pipework system for hot and cold water services, offering an extensive range of pipes, fittings, valves and accessories.
