This opulent new build country home in Sussex required a complete range of timber windows and doors throughout.
In order to suit the style of architecture, sash windows with double glazed units were specified giving an optimum blend of energy efficiency and traditional sight lines. Made using engineered timber for its durability and stability, the windows feature traditional ‘weights and cords’ mechanisms and polished chrome ironmongery. The window design was carried throughout to include full height sash windows beside French doors to the rear ground floor.
A black stained Oak entrance door provides a fitting aesthetic to the frontage.
The project also included a central timber rooflight lantern atop a shaft from the roof that provides natural light and an added sense of grandeur to the entrance hall. Entirely manufactured from engineered timber and using double glazed units, the roof lantern is structurally extremely strong, proving this by taking the weight of the grand chandelier hanging from its central ridge, and hanging through three stories.
Finally the property includes an adjoining three car garage and annex. The three boarded stained double garage doors are made of Oak.
The high specification demanded by the property owner is reflected in the fixtures and fittings throughout, supported by Westbury’s exceptional fenestration products.
