Luxury vinyl tiles look a treat at Barbakan Deli

High design and high performance flooring from Polyflor, the UK's commercial and residential vinyl flooring specialist, was recently used to give Barbakan Delicatessen in Chorlton, Manchester a makeover as part of their refurbishment project.

Barbakan Delicatessen is an award winning continental bakery and deli which was established in 1964 by the Najduch family and named after the historic gateway in Krakow, Poland. Popular amongst the Chorlton community for its freshly baked continental breads, Barbakan’s refurbished shop features a bakery, deli counter and indoor seating.

Polyflor’s hardwearing Expona Commercial PUR luxury vinyl tiles were installed by Salford based Newards Ltd flooring contractors to the shop floor area. The store owners chose the unique Blue Varnished Wood design from the collection which has the look of pseudo-industrial timber which has been stripped and varnished many times over to give a worn effect.

With a 2.5mm gauge and 0.55 wear layer, the Expona Commercial range features a total of 55 stunning wood, stone and abstract effect designs which are ideal for use in the retail sector and other heavy commercial environments where there is likely to be a high level of foot traffic. This product’s robust polyurethane reinforcement (PUR) is cross linked and UV cured to provide superior cleaning benefits and a simple maintenance regime, a practical benefit for the everyday running of Barbakan Deli.

Frankie Najduch, Managing Director at Barbakan Delicatessen commented, “We’ve had great feedback from our regular customers about the new look Barbakan Deli. The Expona range was perfect for us as it gave us lots of choice design-wise and is durable enough to cope with the many customers we have coming to the shop during our busiest periods.”

Samples of Expona Commercial luxury vinyl tiles can be ordered free of charge on the Polyflor website or by calling the Polyflor Samples Direct Hotline on 0161 767 2551. The Expona Commercial range is also 100% recyclable via the Recofloor vinyl take back scheme.
