Kebony and Bliss announce their latest collaboration, a lateral house in Holt, Norfolk. Designed by Bliss, the property provides open, spacious living in a ‘Scandi meets North Norfolk’ setting with subtle, modern interior finishes and high tech features. The ground-breaking and environmentally-friendly project, Greenbanks encompasses approximately 2,180 sq. ft. of inspirational living space on just one level.
Greenbanks is a fully detached property which evokes a perfect sense of peace in its woodland setting yet is within a couple of minutes’ walk to the lively town centre. The concept from high-profile developers Bliss, the creative force behind the project has taken a revolutionary approach to design, both inside and out, where performance and efficiency are integral to the design process.
One the exterior, Greenbanks is a one-of-a-kind development built using advanced sustainability oriented construction techniques and state-of-the-art materials, including the award-winning Kebony wood. At Greenbanks, Kebony’s non-toxic, low-maintenance, durable and aesthetic wood has been used for the exterior cladding, contributing the modern look and feel of the building. Over time the Kebony wood will adopt a beautiful silver grey patina which will complement its rustic setting near the coast.
The property consists of a triple aspect living and entertaining area with high vaulted ceiling (unusually generous ceiling heights of 3.5m), kitchen and dining area, three luxurious bedroom suites all with direct access to the gardens and “The Snug” which provides an additional space ideal for an office or hideaway. Internally, Greenbanks is at the pinnacle of innovation, which has been installed to match the high performance of the materials and design, including a Heatmiser smartphone controls the heating and hot water system, silent Gliss ‘wave’ curtain tracks and the UK’s first electronic pet-walk door.
Enjoying a peaceful woodland setting and landscaped gardens, which surround the house on three sides, Greenbanks is the second UK residential project with Bliss for Cleantech 100 company Kebony, following the successful collaboration at 25 Hurst Avenue, London.
Daniel Broch, Founder of Bliss commented: “Greenbanks is our first project outside London and launches our 'latralife' brand which aims to deliver cool and contemporary living spaces for 'right sizers' in great lifestyle locations around the UK. Working with Kebony again was a no brainer for us and we're already working on another project together”
Adrian Pye, International Sales Director at Kebony said: “We are delighted to be working with Bliss once again after our success at 25 Hurst Avenue. We are very proud not only to be contributing to another property with such fantastic design and aesthetic credentials, but also to take part of the global trend of eco-friendly architecture and development.”
