Following several rounds of competitive tender negotiations Divisions Operable Walls were awarded the sub contract to provide several sets of high acoustic operable walls and glazed sliding folding walls.

Divisions selection was based on its ability to design and manufacture three double action inset pass door sets without compromising the acoustic integrity of the system, this combined with the capability of providing the secondary steel support work and the acoustic and fire barriers enabled main contractors Kier to place the sub contract for this package with one sub contractor.

Architects Sheppard Robbson visited a completed installation at Twickenham Rugby Stadium before selecting Duvale’s 110c Operable Wall finished in Glacier Grey Formica Laminate, hung from two carrier suspension track to facilitate remote parking arrangements, and also Duvale’s GS35 glazed sliding folding wall constructed with 10mm safety toughened glass with SAA rails at top and bottom featuring a manifestation design by the architect.

The layout designed creates fl exible teaching areas and a large lecture theatre.

Special thanks to Mr Graham Salter of Kier Construction and also Mr Ed Evenden of PDA Acoustic Consultants who’s help and cooperation led to a successful sub contract.

Contract Value £55,950.00
