Our clients, a young couple, had embarked on their first development project, building a new home to enjoy with their young family. New builds allow for the owners to add their own mark on the property, specifying features that are unique to their home and personality.
Having already established the fenestration details with their architect, the couple specified Westbury to manufacture the windows and doors. Their home includes several individually designed features and so our experience in manufacturing bespoke items was paramount in their decision-making.
In addition, our doors and windows have been independently tested and comply with Part Q security regulations which is a legal requirement for new dwellings. This provided the clients with the confidence that they were getting a quality product that met all their needs.
Their project included the manufacture of traditional casement windows as well as an angled bay, a charming diamond design, a large screen and an eyebrow feature window, all of which created the unique personality of this house.
The screen, set between two oak posts, creates a stunning focal point both externally and internally, where it floods the stairway with natural light. The eyebrow window spans three rooms which each now benefit from a lighter, airier ambience.
Natural light is important and helps to make a house feel brighter and more spacious, inturn also improving wellbeing.
The inviting entrance door, also produced by Westbury, includes a smart, four-panel design, adjacent sidelights and polished chrome ironmongery, adding the perfect touch to this wonderful, family home.
The family now have a wonderful home that they can grow into, as well as the knowledge to help them accomplish any future building projects.
