Extension and remodel of Victorian gothic villa

Located at one of the most highly regarded addresses and forming part of the North Oxford conservation area, this substantial Victorian residence has undergone an extensive scope of works to create a family friendly space.

The detached home, which incorporates accommodation over four floors, features a new side and rear extension to create a music room, games room and two additional en-suite bedrooms, along with a contemporary open plan family kitchen and living area at the rear.

Working closely with specialist conservation contractor Richard Ward (Oxford) Ltd and BLA Architects, the experienced team at Imperial Bricks provided expert advice and guidance to match the existing brickwork with traditional handmade imperial sized Cambridge Buff bricks.

The decorative banded detail is continued across the extended areas with matching Regency Orange bricks, both of which help to create a successful and indistinguishable transition between old and new.
