Designer radiators for Alto within Wembley Park, the dynamic 85-acre regeneration scheme

Alto is the high point of North West Village, located within ‘Wembley Park’, the dynamic 85-acre regeneration scheme that’s bringing new energy to this iconic part of North West London. The upmarket residences deserve aesthetically beautiful radiators, that’s why the client chose the Viola radiator for this project.

Alto’s striking stepped towers set a new benchmark for sophisticated urban living. Beautifully designed and meticulously finished most of the apartments will have their own outdoor space or a balcony that looks across the private courtyard garden or the newly created formal landscape of Elvin Square Gardens. Nestled close to the new Wembley stadium and concert venue and the London Designer Outlet with its collection of boutique bars and restaurants the residents of this new development are well catered for.

Due for completion in the summer of 2017 there are 211 one, two and three bedroom apartments requiring 1400 radiators in the first and second phase of the development and there are plans for two more near identical developments in the future. Vasco will supply these radiators, as the client preferred their Viola radiator to models of other manufacturers. David Thornback, National Sales Manager at Vasco: "The design team at the developers Quintain, following the initial proposal by a building services consultant, approved the use of the Vasco Viola radiator in the summer of 2015. The design team wanted a radiator commensurate with the high specification of the furnishings and they liked the aesthetic, well-engineered feel and look of the Vasco Viola. It comes complete with a top grille, which finishes the radiator off nicely, and is more robust and better manufactured than other models.

The main contractor, Wates Construction, started installation of the radiators in June 2016, the teams fitting around 80 - 90 radiators per month. The radiators are being supplied to site by Vasco’s partner MHS Radiators. "This is a big project for us," states Thornback. "There aren’t that many projects that require such a big amount of designer radiators, so we’re delighted to have the Alto Apartments as one of our top reference projects."
