Beyond the Green Belt  


From its origins, Green Belt has been valued by the public not only as a place where development is prevented but as a place to encounter and protect rich flora and fauna.

However, there are questions around the biodiversity credentials of Green Belt. Here are some of many species that were once numerous in areas covered by Green Belt in England but are today endangered or threatened.
