Engineering Sketches

The sketch is a means of quickly recording ideas to influence and inform later work. It is a snapshot of the designer’s thinking, a glimpse into the working process.
These sketches have been submitted by staff at a number of UK engineering practices, a design community which is admired throughout the world.
They have been chosen to capture the dialogue between architect, engineer and client. The subject matter covers surveys of existing buildings, initial ideas, options analysis, building details, construction sequences and recently completed projects.
