EN{code}D
MSc Adaptive Architecture & Computation

4 October - 8 October 2010

MSc Adaptive Architecture and Computation covers the theory and technology that underpins the creation of generative, emergent and responsive form, computational methods of analysis in the built environment, and the creation of physical systems that engender interaction and adaptation. Research and speculative projects are displayed from 2009-10 reflecting the application of these technologies to structural, social, environmental, and other issues.

The Royal Docks

The Royal Docks has massive development potential - the opportunity to become the new centre for business and living in East London.

The area has great advantages in terms of the success of Excel, London City Airport, the University of East London and the proximity of the O2 Centre. In 2012 the Royal Docks will be the second largest Olympic Venue. Recent investment in local rail infrastructure and the advent of Crossrail will connect the Royal docks with Canary Wharf, the West End and the rest of Lonodon.

This exhibition sets out the Mayors of London and Newham's vision for the development of the area as well as the challenges and opportunities.

This is the first in a series of exhibitions which will update on a monthly basis to show the key investments in the infrastructure and built environment in London. The Building Centre is happy to support The London Development Agency and Design for London who are helping deliver these improvements.
