SHOWCASE YOUR DESIGN EXCELLENCE!

The Mail on Sunday British Homes Awards 2009 call for design submissions for a Lifetime Home and within 12 Categories

Following the successful legacies of The Barratt Green House and the Avanti House with Crest Nicholson, the 2009 British Homes Awards Design Competition now addresses one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century- the challenge of an ageing population and invites Architects working with interior designers to submit their own vision of a Lifetime Home, working to the design brief which can be downloaded from http://www.britishhomesawards.com/designbrief.asp and www.architecture.com/competitions.

The panel of Judges, chaired by RIBA President Sunand Prasad, will select a shortlist of 10 designs which will be presented to the readers of the Mail on Sunday who will vote for the winning design which will be built for speculative sale within the UK by a reputed partner.
Additionally the Awards give Architects the chance to showcase design excellence within 12 different categories. The winning and commended schemes will be presented by our partners (NHBC, BRE, MBE KTN and CLG) as exemplars of best practice and receive national exposure within the Mail on Sunday and the 2010 edition of Design. The key to a better place and will be presented as a gallery exhibit at The Building Centre in the autumn.
