
At the recent Awards Ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane The Building Centre was again pleased to sponsor the category of Young Journalist. The judges were encouraged by the large number and high standard of entries received making the judging process this year particularly challenging. The short-listed writers nominated included David Doyle of Property Week of which the judges said that he had demonstrated his versatility to write about weighty subjects and Dan Stewart of Building who showed in his articles that he is a promising writer with a good punchy style.
Jon Young, writing for New Civil Engineer won the category, Young Journalist 2007. The judges said that he had the ability to find stories in seemingly mundane subjects and turn them into interesting reading. Adventurousness and determination are qualities that show through in his articles.
