On September 5th The Building Centre Trust in association with Marks Barfield Architects kicked off a season of events responding to the challenge of climate change with a screening of Al Gore's compelling documentary An Inconvenient Truth. Over 150 guests from all sectors of the industry assembled at the Renoir Cinema to see the film which charts the former Vice-President's passionate and inspirational crusade to halt global warming's deadly progress by exposing the myths and misconceptions that surround it. The film was followed by a response from Nicky Gavron, Deputy Major of London, and Rt Hon John Gummer MP as well as members of the audience. The evening was introduced by Spencer de Grey, Chairman of the Building Centre Trust who ended on this pertinent note; 'Responding to climate change will require ingenuity and investment by us all, to ensure that we maintain a sustainable planet for our children'
